Mary is named after my mother and is a 1934 Derby Bentley with a
3 1/2 litre six cylinder engine with a four speed box having syncromesh on third and fourth gears. The body is a one off design
by Thrupp & Mabeley, producing a most beautiful two door coupe seating four people. She is one of the first cars produced
following the takeover of W O Bentley by Rolls-Royce in 1932.
During the last year she has been extensively overhauled
ready to face the next forty years. She has been totaly re-wired, with new radiator, springs, shock-absorbers and complete
engine rebuild by Ristes in Nottingham, under the supervision of Jeremy Padgett and his team at Spanby.
